Just reminiscing 27 years since seeing my daughters last

 I don't often publicly comment on this. During a really difficult divorce, a court hearing was scheduled to take the girls from my ex the following week. We had just taken them on a fantastic cruise with my wife's boys. We put them on a plane back to the ex and waved goodbye. Little did we know the ex scooped them up and took them out of the US. That is the last time I saw my girls some 27 years ago. I will never forget them, but their family brainwashed them into believing I was somehow bad. Well, just reminiscing. Love you, girls, wherever you are.

Anyone Else tired of censorship????

 Sure, high profile personalities have lots of followers and their words can have substantial impact. But for G.D's sake, why is Facebook censoring my cartoons featuring a skunk? Against community standards they say. Really, anything they want to control can be against community standards. What community? And who sets the standards?

There was Parler, then they sabotaged them. They back with limits. Didn't Hitler, Muslini, Pol Pot, Kim Jung Un do the same? Control the narrative and you control the masses.

Get smart people, don't believe the crap they feed you.

It seems to me that there are forces at work that are trying to continue the division and identity politics in our nation. I'm not looking for us all to agree on anything, but the words are escalating into actions. People, even college age students, are ignorant of our history and take the inflammatory words of a few and believe them. The media is full of lies, deceit and purposeful omission.

So what are these forces? Is it highly funded revolutionary organizations that would love to see our country crumble? Is it disassociated masses of ill-informed morons?  Is it a swamp filled with self-serving politicians? Well, maybe it is all of the above. But I believe that all are influenced by the adversary. For as our society fragments, so does organized religious practice. The glue that had been holding this country together since the Pilgrim's set foot on the continent has been rooted in God.

Today we are pushing God out of our schools, military, prisons, work place, sports and our lives. The country without such a binding force is doomed to implode. I pray that we can see our way clear as a nation to worship God and respect each other.

Tribute to R. Lee Ermey

Gunny served as a DI in the Vietnam era Marines.  A time when we had to transform youth to hardened Marines in a matter of weeks.  He must have reflected back on the faces and names that left his training and prayed that they make it back.  He was a cream puff surrounded by tank armor.  His later years were nostalgic playing with the best of the best weapons, soldiers and things that go boom. He was a man that lived hard, looked tough, loved life and brought much to this life. Rest in Peace Gunny

Okay, time to spout off about the Schumer shutdown. This is the most hypocritical display of the Senate in modern times. Screw the talking points, this is just a hostage move plain and simple. Time to change the Senate rules. Hell, it's time for term limits too. (Right, that will never happen). With all the political spinning, I'm getting dizzy.

Just in! Media Creates News!

What do you get when you have 20 people with differing opinions quietly using their 2nd amendment rights and then add 15 cameramen, 30 reporters and a slow news cycle????
A riot.

Really. Look how many times a small group shows up and then come the cameras. People act differently. They put on a show for the camera. THEIR 15 minutes of fame! Add networks that have a narrative they want to push and you have news. Idiots destroy shops, cars, public property all for the sake of the camera. Where are the police??? How about they douse the news media with some mace and see how much news get created?

What if that was your car? Or your shop being looted. I think a couple cans of bear spray would be handy about then. I'd probably get sued for making a snowflake cry. Time to change our thinking folks.

It seems to me that if we are going to use "where there's smoke, there's fire" as a standard for a special prosecutor, we should have assigned a dozen or so to Obummer and Crooked Hillary. So many lies, so much corruption, so many laws willfully broken and not one special prosecutor.

The libs keep trying to infer that there had to be some collusion with Russia. We there was. We saw Obummer tell the Russian ambassador that he could be "more flexible" since he wasn't up for re-election. There's your smoking gun.

Not one single credible source has indicated any proof exists of any connection between Trump and the Russians. Geez. That 2-bit country has a lower GDP than Texas. What do we presume they can do? A couple of hackers and innuendo. Smells like we just tracked through the bullpen. I always say.... If it smell like bullshit, and tastes like bullshit, hold your nose and what the HELL you doing tasting bullshit!!!

Folks, let's focus on the real business at hand.

Gun show attendance down

Well, now that the worlds greatest gun salesman has left office, I'ma guess'n that the low attendance at today's Crossroads gun show was a direct result. After all, the demand was driven by most folks think'n that guns, ammo and our 2nd Amendment rights were under direct assault. The attendance may have been down and the number of vendors down about 1/3 but prices weren't. Ammo prices were back to high-normal but the rest of the prices were just not in line with demand. Hey you gun dealers, get with the program. I can go down to my friendly FFL and pay the same price any day of the week. Come on, many of the guns I saw were near MSR.
Maybe you vendors need to read the tea leaves and accept lower margins. Y'all ain't gonna get rich overnight.

 Dang gonnit, what's is a theatre supposed to do? Show it in Braille and subtitle everything?

Okay, how about pre- scheduled group showings with subtitles? Or sell them sub titled DVDs?
What's next?  Vision impaired flight training? Blind golf night? Deaf symphonies?

Patriot? Act

Washington is well known for their deceptive titling of legislation. "Affordable? Care? Act" is anything but. Not affordable, not about care. Well we should also look at the Patriot Act. I full believe that our founding fathers would spin in their graves if they looked at this act. It peels away basic fundamental rights that they fought and died for. Here a group of overpaid, pampered egotists seek to further erode our rights by having unnamed judges secretly sign broad warrants and collect massive amounts of data on our citizens. It may sound innocuous, but knowing who calls whom, when and how long is a violation or our basic rights. I don't always agree with Rand Paul, but on this one, he is spot on.

This is only the surface of the data they are really collecting. It just hasn't surfaced yet, but some day we will find out the extent to which our people are being spied on by our government. Recently, a city in the Phoenix metro area quietly installed cameras inside hollowed out cactus. Cameras all over the city now track and report the movements of vehicles by trapping their license numbers and compiling a database. They have done this on I-17, I-10 and other major route for some time as well as mobile cameras on police vehicles.

Though I have nothing to hide and not aware of any skeletons in the closet, it is unnerving to know that they can track me real-time throughout the city. Why do they need to know where I am going, where I have been or even what I am doing as long as it is legal?

We are now learning more about the fake cell towers that trap and collect our calls. Pretty scary by itself. If that isn't enough, the military, DEA, Homeland Security and other agencies are practicing taking over parts of our country in exercises deemed Jade Helm 15. I see the vehicles, tankers, hmmvs and other equipment barreling down the interstate bound for the exercises. Just a matter of time....

Sadly, our forefathers would be angry beyond belief to see the Constitution trampled on so flagrantly.

Prepare for Armageddon

Ol' Desert Dave doesn't claim to know WHAT Armageddon will look like, but you need to be prepared anyway. So many people are just cruising through life assuming tomorrow will be like today and recent past. So what happens when some 3rd rate country gets a Russian launcher and a small EMP device and wants to hurt us? I can think of a few countries that already have the resources to do it. They don't even have to be inside our borders to do it! What will you do when the lights go out? You won't be driving to the store. You won't be flushing your toilet for long. You'll be out of drinking water in a day.
You might even be one of those millions driving to or from work and get stuck somewhere away from home. How much cash do you have with you? After all, the ATMs and banks will be shut down. You could be wealthy but not have anything but a credit card and electronic resources. If so, God help you.
Okay, if you started putting a little food aside, good for you. You have an arsenal? That will only be as good as your ability to protect yourself from cover. You can bet local, state and federal government has a plan to protect themselves but not you.
Well maybe, just maybe...you should give it some thought, read some and invest appropriately.

Food
Shelter
Protection

Don't plan on someone else reaching you with supplies and taking care of you. It won't happen.

What do you keep in your vehicle? Enough water, clothing, food and protection to reach your home by foot?

We saw a brief glimpse of chaos here in ol' Arizona. Someone purposely cut a fiber optic line north of Phoenix. It put much of the state north of there into panic. No internet, no cable, limited cell coverage, no banks, no ATMs, any business that took credit cards closed including gas stations. All that with one intentional cut line. What would happen if someone really wanted to shut us down???

Just remember, it is every man for himself when the lights go out. Don't come knocking on Desert Dave's door telling me I was right. PREPARE!

The latest revelation about the NSA putting software on your hard drives to watch you should make your blood run cold. I've even resorted to using my old laptop that predates their tools. It is slow, but I feel just a little safer.
I envision a revelation that NSA has found a way to tap into your home security networks and watch you in your own home. Feel safer as a result of Obummer's administration?

Lost a good friend

Even Desert Dave gets sad on occasion. Last week, a good friend left his cabin with his dog Faith and set off for a hike near Flagstaff. Search and Rescue found him dead days later on a nearby peak with his dog nearby protecting him. Our loss is Heaven's gain. He was a blessing to all as he shared God's love in the jail and prison systems. He joins his wife Mary in the company of angels. May God grant peace for his family left here on earth. And may those dedicated volunteer searchers be blessed for their service.

Been Holding My Tongue

Okay readers, I have been holding my tongue for weeks now because I know I will write something I will regret otherwise. But, GEEZ, my blood pressure is off the charts and blood dripping from my eyes!

First let me say I did not vote for him. Second, I am NOT prejudiced, racist or any other "ist".  I am results oriented myself and expect that of an elected official. I watch the news and see the shell game that is being played. Lies, cover up, cronyism, violations of the law, misuse of power, cover up (oh I said that), and more lies. I never thought I would be afraid of and for my government.
Bengazi: Lest we forget that this was a scandal that was just prior to the election. Had the truth come out earlier, I doubt Barry Soetoro would be in power today. Incompetence, lies, coverup, conspiracy. You can't make this stuff up.
IRS: I guess they must think we are a bunch of total idiots. They "lose" her emails for two years and then finally "recycle" her hard drive so no one can run forensics on it. You know the dirt goes deep when this stuff happens.
Releasing the FAB 5: I would call it incompetence, but I have to give them a lot more credit for being shrewd. One deserter for the top 5 terrorists (and rumor of $$ under the table). You have to frigging be out of your mind!
Obamacare: I won't rail on this much today. It is just the single biggest boondoggle ever devised. They are trying to use Executive power to push off some of the deadlines because they know implementation will create a sure and certain loss in both houses of Congress. Hmmm, I didn't know the President had the power to change laws on a whim.
EPA: Are you kidding? Cows are now a registered source of air pollution and likely cause the end of our world as we know it unless bureaucrats find a way to regulate them. Even dust in the desert is now regulated by EPA. Maricopa county had to put together a dust abatement plan to be in compliance. Of course, I see the Director of Maricopa county EPA resigned over this one. (Hey! One Job Opening)
Finally...
Homeland Security: So the cartels figured out that if they overload the border with kids, CBP will be too overwhelmed to guard the border from drugs, weapons, terrorists and other traffic that is now flowing with impunity. How do they handle it? They pick them up and fly them to Arizona and then bus them to downtown Phoenix and open the door.
CRAP! Just hunker down and just hope you aren't in the blast radius.

Obama inflicts savage sanctions on Russia

In a stunning move, Barry Soto announced crippling sanctions to be imposed on Russia as retaliation for the sanctions that Russia imposed on the US in retaliation for the sanctions Obama placed on Russia in retaliation for invading Crimea. The POTUS announced that for the next 60 days, the White House will boycott Russia Vodka! They are hoping that other government agencies will follow suit. Just last year, the White House consumed over $200k worth of the stuff.
The Kremlin was reeling from the crippling blow to their economy. In a statement by Vladimir Putin, he indicated that the Russian people are strong and determined people. They can weather any thing the WH can  throw at them.
NATO insiders who were not authorized to comment, indicated that such sanctions could escalate the hostilities. They believe that Putin will respond tit for tat in the next weeks ahead. This insider suggested that Putin may cut off his HBO subscription and possibly return the "reset button" that was presented by Hillary Clinton. NATO is taking a "wait and see" approach to this ever escalating Cold War.
I strongly suggest my readers(s) to avoid imports of caviar, as they may contain mind control drugs. Be prepared and ever vigilant.

Are You Frustrated too?

Is it just me or has the world gone mad? With the Syrian crisis unchanged and Iran announcing the have multiple warhead missiles and Putin taking Crimea with impunity, it clearly shows that a nation that elects a rookie Illinois state senator to the most powerful position on Earth is watching the epic failure from a front row seat.
Add to the mix with Obummercare, IRS and still no answers on Benghazi and you  want to blow your head off. But instead, I am going to tuff it out and vote the SOB's out.

Powerless to stop the trainwreck

Ever feel totally powerless? I mean really powerless? Well it used to be WE THE PEOPLE, now our lawmakers, administration and Supreme Court all treat us like THEY know better. Those in power want to hold on to it. We are treated like we are stupid simpletons that shouldn't be allowed to make our own decisions.
Let's take education. It has long been a given that each local district should fund, elect and control what and how our children are taught. Now we are told by a Federal Department of Education every aspect of how our schools are run. Why? Because the states decided to accept funding from the Feds.
Then there is your healthcare. Geez! Don't get me started. Just plan on watching it implode and become the largest waste of money every conceived.
Now as we see just how the administration is trying to make their lack of a budget painful. Let me see, by law they MUST have a budget every year. No budget for over 5 years. That is a total travesty.
I, for one, cannot wait to participate in the 2014 midterm elections. I really pray that a lot of lawmakers, especially Harry Reid, become unemployed.

From the time I first read the proposed and then final bill, I knew we were in for a disaster. This legislation dreamed up behind closed doors, birthed of a Democrat controlled government and implemented by FAR LEFT/Socialist appointees. Sebelius was handed a $2B slush fund without controls and a blank sheet of paper when it comes to regulations. What else would you expect from this administration? Ramming through sweetheart deals for his bundlers and donors, he has created a nation of unemployed, discouraged and dependent citizens. If you think this legislation is about getting insurance for the uninsured, you are smoking something. This is all about control. Control of you, your money, your rights, your life, your future. The next step will be what they really were trying to get, that is single payer healthcare. Cradle to grave, they will control it all. Time to de-fund this train wreck!

Sun reversing polarity

I don't know what rock I have been under but am I the only one that didn't know that the Sun reverses its magnetic poles about every 11 years???? I didn't sleep through science class and I pay pretty close attention to current events. This is the first time that I recall NASA telling us that this routine "flip" of the solar poles is a good thing. If it happens on the Sun, why wouldn't it happen on the Earth? We know that would create cataclysmic change on our planet. They also released that there is a huge hole in the Sun. No wonder so many people are prepping for various disasters.
If you haven't started prepping, you need to seriously consider what would happen if our food, water, energy supplies were disrupted for even a few weeks. Are you going to survive without Big Brother taking care of you? Will you survive or be a statistic?
Think about it, the Sun is flipping soon.
